Why this platform, and where it runs
Why it’s built this way
Rack space, power, and service time are the three things every data center runs out of first. The 2U16 is built around that constraint: sixteen front hot-swap bays and three rear NVMe slots pack dense usable capacity into two rack units.
Dual redundant power supplies and hot-swap fans help maintain availability through component failures. Serviceable components are designed for rack-side access.
Where it’s deployed
The 2U16 is a general-purpose storage and compute node for environments where uptime and density both matter: primary storage, backup and archive, virtualization, hyperconverged clusters, and distributed file systems.
The rear NVMe tier can support caching, metadata, or journal workloads, while PCIe expansion provides room for networking, storage controllers, or accelerators.
